September Meeting (9/12)

Our September meeting is fast approaching. After an exciting talk on the Battle of Oriskany in August, we turn our attention to a project by our brethern in the Cherokee Chapter: The Liberty Tree Environmental Education program (LEEP). Our speaker will be Kevin Karel who along with Stan Lewis leads the project and he will discuss the importance of Liberty Trees in our American Revolution. Kevin is a Horticulturist and a Georgia Certified Plant Professional as well as a member of the Cherokee Chapter. The LEEP program has been presented at multiple schools and horticultural societies in the state of Georgia and I’m sure it will be of interest to all.

So please meet us on September 12th at 7pm at the Golden Corral in Cumming for this interesting program. As usual, members will meet at 6pm for dinner.

Also, be sure to bring cash to enter the drawing for our door prize and make sure you’re selling the Musket Raffle tickets!
