Events occur throughout the year, and are opportunities for travel, education, and fellowship. Some events are Sponsored on the National Level, as in the commemoration at NPS Battle Parks, such as Cowpens and Valley Forge. State Events are held for local battles, commemoration ceremonies, and events recognized by the State Color Guard. Let’s Celebrate our 248th Anniversary of the “Frederica Naval Action”
April 19th – a significant date in the founding of our nation – the “shot heard ‘round the world” at Lexington and Concord in 1775 and the capture of British ships in the Frederica River in 1778.
